so i was thinking of a hybrid between southpark's Cartman and Rockman Zero... an SD character with almost zero mood [pun intended] visible

so this baby here is my first *almost* successful 3D render... gonna work on it sometimes later, when my brain starts to work again...

Oh no..that was half a year ago... I haven't done any painting since then- so I've probably lost my skills. And it took a real long time too.
Never knew that these kinda 3D art took that long.

I really like how shiny the feet are. I thought his right foot looked like a computer mouse, and I like how his left hand looks as though he is holding a bomb (or it could always be a metal basketball).

well, basically it takes longer to make 3D models than coloring a sketch. but the final rendering really worths it.

how i learned shading: make lots of 3d models and get my mind absorbed in it. point is: to find a particular form of art, take another turn, and perhaps you'll stumble upon the right path. -from a fellow dead artist-

well, thanks for the shiny commentaries, the feet and hands are basically metallic-skinned objects. i made it so as an allusion to bomberman style characters.

thanks... the soft overglow effect costs some 3 hours rendering time... while in fact, photoshop could produce the same effect in 27 seconds....

gonna make something better of it sometimes later...
